Smh I’m going to start my own 1st annual “Dragon’s Tail Sprint” held one week before. I’ll get a guy to make up some pants with OUR logo and 4” windshield banners for everyone, and free Gatorade. Who’s with me!?!? BOOF can keep his medium T-shirts

BOOF, thinking of joining in on the fun. New to the M3 Scene. I just purchased an '08 e93 in December. Live in the burbs of Philly. Maybe take a run down early on Thursday to arrive by Friday night. Sounds like a blast. I am sure there are others from the North East & MD that would want to caravan down.

Welcome to the E93 Club!

And, yes we're caravaning down, likely leaving on Thursday, and won't take the interstate the whole way down (BOOOOO-ring)....we'll take a lot of mountain roads down that will likely be scenic by then, and then we'll arrive sometime early Friday evening.

Option 2 is we leave early Friday morning, and drive all day through the mountains, and then arrive late Friday night.

We'll see how it shakes out once me and a few others plan the route.

Stay tuned.

I haven't taken nearly enough long trips in my M. But I'm ready to drive across the damn country in this thing. LOL To the Tail from MD will be my long trip this year.

I imagine we're going to take sections of the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia to get to the Tail: https://www.blueridgeparkway.org/parkway-map/

It's long, but beautiful, and smooth (so I'm told). The big question is...how much of the 469 miles will we collectively have the stamina for?

My hunch is we'll take I81 down into Southern Virginia, and then do the southern portion, still about 250 miles or so (which could still take 6 hours by itself).

Stay tuned, I'll start a Caravan thread once I firm up the 1-day or 2-day plan down to the Tail, from MD/VA/DC area to Tennessee.
