Another newbie with questions.

Hi all,

as the title suggests I am new to this forum as I'm thinking of buying an M3.
I have a couple of questions for all you M experts, I am thinking of buying a 08/09 E92 and was wondering what I should look out for with regards to common faults with these cars? Also, what questions should I be asking when looking at 1, and what should I be looking for in the maintenance history? As much info as possible will be very much appreciated.

Thanks guys

D

Hi David

I think you will find this sub-forum quite quiet....

I would suggest posting the question in the main forum here, and also take a look at m3cutters dot co dot uk, for a more local perspective.

Be prepared for lots of hysteria about connecting rod bearings in the US, whereas the situation in the UK seems to be rather different. Many theories about this (different - lower octane - fuels, wrong oil used by US dealers, many superchargers fitted to US cars...)

Good luck!

M3cutters is a great UK forum... Even when I sell my M3, I think I would still be checking it.

There are a lot of threads with the info you want.
