As I type this, mine is getting the BE treatment. At 58k miles, it was time to stop playing the German Lottery.

Not a bad lottery. The only one with a guaranteed win, assuming you buy the ticket in time...

Just picked mine up today. At 47k miles. BE bearings, BE/ARP bolts, engine mounts, oil change, oil pan gasket, pre cat O2's, and more boost for the supercharger.

Was never going to do them, but after deciding to supercharge, figured I'd do it for piece of mind.

Pictures of what came out would be cool posted in the rod bearing thread...

I got one pic, but it's low res and there's some glare. So not sure how useful it will be, but I suppose I could post it in the thread anyways.

King Racing Bearings

I recently replaced with King racing Bearings and ARP bolts. I'd look into them. They do some pretty high end stuff.

How long have people been waiting for this next batch? I saw somewhere…maybe a post…that the bearings are stuck at the coating vendor who is now closed for covid 2.0. Mine is an 08, basically 3rd owner, 75k and never done. I have no idea how the car was treated before. Aside from the drive home 700 miles, I’m basically not driving it until I can do oil analysis and even then likely won’t until I can get the bearings done (seen the oil analysis might not be accurate even wi the an 08) but it sounds like it could be months until the bearings are in.

A partial shipment was released this week from the coating company even though they are still shut down. That batch will get measured and released next weekend. Expect to see inventory shipping out within the next two weeks. However if you're really in a bind, I see on the FB rod bearing group, that one vendor still has sets in stock. I don't know if they're S65 or S85 though.

Thank you! I doubt I will get mine on this one, I didn’t buy until beginning of this month. But fingers crossed.

Covid blows.

I am 90 day lead time on Cisco 10GE modules for 9300 switches. FML, that puts a damper on plans.

😞
