Canada Takata airbag recall

It's on... No parts though... Seems like we're stuck like the USA.

Yup. Got that the other day. Funny though, when I mentioned it to the sale manager, as I was discussing terms in the new car he flat out denied such a thing. Didn't know what I was talking about. Not sure that I buy that.

I was test driving some '15s 2 days ago and the SM knew nothing of it either.... He knew loads about the car though! Lol!

I just think they're probably not on the up and up about all this maintenance stuff.

Ummm...I don't buy it. This is a major recall and to say that you don't know seems like it's trying I be kept on the DL.

Beats me, but all the used e9x vehicles on the used dealer lots have them

Does the dealership contact us, or do you have to constantly follow up?

I need to go get my stupid driver's side seat belt assist thing fixed under warranty as it no longer catches the belt anymore. I figure I can do both at once if possible.

bmw toronto said they'll have stock in december...

when you're in don't forget to do the battery cable recall too

Had my 328's replaced a few weeks ago at Policaro BMW. BMW never called, unsurprisingly...

Just got the letter from BMW Canada today... finally they have stock it seems.

Traded the 2011 for a 2016: let's hope I don't have airbag recalls on the newer one...

Just had mine replaced last week after a 6 month wait. I recommend calling the dealership and getting on a waiting list even if you haven't received a letter.

I was on two waiting lists and both called me in the same month. Markham and Downtown BMW.
