Haven't done much mileage since coming back from the shop but level stays still for now. At 3/4 with around 9.6 liters onboard (maybe even a tad more, I'll measure the remainings in the bottle later). Again, drained dry for close to 24h so could still make sense without consumption, we have to see. |

Ordering ACL bearings Mixed sizes. So STD will go on top and STD-X will be going bottom.

To be honest, I am not very inclined but that is what I was told that it mimics the BE Clearance.

I just ordered the ACL's (8B1580HX-STD) and BE's bolt kit. Will let you guys know how things go. I expect parts to be here by the end of next week 7/19-ish, will be scheduling job for sometime during 7/22-26.

I would lean towards the mixed set offered by Lang. MPower Motorsports may be willing to mix and match sets so you can run different uppers and lowers as well. But I am not an expert.

If I had it done again Id probably also try to get a mixed set. Just that tad increased clearance I believe is fine in combination with proper oil changes and warm up.

I used stock with WPC treatment when I changed mine in 2014 at 60k miles. The smart thing is to change them and inspect so you can get an idea of how yours are wearing. Mine were not as bad as many that I have seen posted. When I do the job again at 100k or 110k or 120k miles, I may use BE or mixed set of ACL. If I have the time and energy, I may pull the motor and change the mains as well.

I've recently had ACL installed in mine. I can't say that I've noticed any difference in the way the engine runs which is probably a good thing in all honesty.
Redish did plastigage each and every bearing after install to check clearances and they were very consistent throughout. I was told to take it easy to for the first 200 miles or so but taking it to the Nurburgring is considered taking it easy isn't it? I wasn't overly worried about bearing failure but my E90 is going to become much more of a track car from now on so thought it's a job I might as well get done. |

Standard to the best of my knowledge. I can't say the engine runs any differently since having them changed.
The whole car ran flawlessly on the 'Ring and since. So much so that I'm planning a trip back there in September! |

Got my car back last week. The motor seems to be smoother, but I’m sure it’s in my head. The bearings showed wear but we’re still in good shape. I’m glad I changed them for sure.

No it is not your head. New oil clearly makes engine smoother. I was always thinking the same before, but this time I changed my Jetski oil and went for a ride, Vibration and engine sound is clearly gone and became like a Tesla. It is not my head it is new oil
