Keyhole delete installation...HELP
Anyone had trouble getting the hex screw out when taking off the original keyhole for installing the keyhole delete?
I can get it to un-screw but its NOT coming out. I tried pulling it with a pair of needle nose pliers but still nothing. Am i missing something...??? Thanks

Nope, you aren't missing anything. Should come out. Maybe you don't have it unscrewed all the way?

yes have someone hold the handle out and you wiggle out the whole key mechanism. do not use tools besides the hex to remove the bolt. Make sure you do not lose the bolt in the door.
btw wrong section

I didn't want to drop it between the door so I was careful and didn't remove it while swapping the cover. Just be careful.

I had a similar experience, the screw felt very loose. I didn't want to drop it in the door and tried pliers as well, turns out even though you could wiggle the crap out of it, it wasn't all the way out. When its all the way out it sticks out of the door just a bit to avoid loosing it.
IMO a T Handled Hex Key works best for doing this mod...
