I have blue pads and my above offer still stands if you need them.
How many miles will it take to "clean" the rotors?

I have experienced the same problem more so with my stoptech brake kit and stop tech brake pads , after much research I was told the metallic composition of the brake pads will somewhat adhere to the rotors when the car is left to sit after a car wash even though I do use a blower to initially dry my car. I find that driving around the block will ease this problem, but I have also discovered that using a product called iron x by cquartz or similar detail product that is used to dissolve metallic particles on vehicles before detailing seems to work quite well at dissolving the built up brake material stuck on the rotor that actually causes the vibration. I dont remember the exact price but it is relatively inexpensive purchase online. I Hope that helps.

btw ,I forgot to mention, my cousin is a master Mercedes tech and he tells me the same problem happens often to their cars that sit out side at their dealerships. They have service bulletins detailing the identical problem.

Thanks, I do appreciate the feedback. I put the Hawk blue racing pads on this morning and have been driving it around to "scrub" the rotors. His initial post says a couple days, but that is quite variable depending on how many miles in a day.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread. How did this work out for you. And do you or anyone else still have a set of these knocking about?

Bringing this thread back from the dead!!

Firstly, I hope everything is OK with you in Texas. This weather looks like a real challenge!

Do you still have the blue pads and are you still interested in renting them out? Will you ship to Canada? I will cover any shipping costs of course.

Cheers,

Thanks for this DIY. I'm going on my first track day next month and thanks to this I feel very comfortable about the "warped disc" story I've been told.

I'm going to try this method out in the next week or so. After a 2 day session at PittRace on OEM rotors and PowerStop Track Day pads, I have pretty heavy vibration under braking.

Wow, that's terribly shitty of someone not to send the brake pads back.
