Swissvax wax...the best?

I am awaiting arrival of my Alpine white M3 and wondering the best wax to use. Is Swissvax the best product on the market and for a white car, should you go with their wax specially for bmw's or the wax specially for white cars?

Any insight would be appreciated.

Well, it sure is expensive! Personally, my flow is not sufficient to drop $5k on a bottle of wax. However, I can vouch for Zymol and the products from Griot's garage; Griot's Garage products are normally spoken about favorably on Roundel.

I just purchased a really nice kit on Griot's Garage that includes a great selection of products and excellent bucket:

http://www.griotsgarage.com/product/...with+bucket.do

I have a 15% coupon from the catalog; PM me if you need it.

Far from the best, but very good, and very expensive. Depends on what you want and how much you want to spend, there always seems to be a better alternative. If you want some serious wax, look at Zymol, if you are on a budget, look at DoDo Juice.

Thanks.....I would never buy the insane one for thousands. I was looking at the one for white cars and the one for BMW's for $150ish.....still very pricey but if was the best I would consider.

I would skip Swissvax altogether and go for Chemical Guys Pete's 53.

Prep is more important then the wax or sealant. There are plenty of good waxes for under $50 that I doubt anyone could tell apart from a more expensive wax. Look at P21, OCW, blackfire, Clearkote Vanilla moose etc.

The wax is good, get Glacier for white cars and the cleaner.

In that price rage, I have Dodo Juice Supernatural V2 wax, which I love. I also have Swissvax Glacier (for white cars) and its pretty good but I still prefer the DODO SN.

Dodo Juice Supernatural v2 or Swissvax Glacier is the best by far I've tried on white.

Both of them is good enough, so if you want to brag about having a special wax, SNv2 that comes with the wooden box will give you a better feeling. SV glacier is good too, just not in a wooden box, lol.

Preference and choice..Some products are EASIER to use than others and more DURABLE. Most importantly (as mentioned above) is the prepwork BEFORE any wax (ie wash, clay and polish)...after that I guarantee the difference in a $30 can of wax/sealant vs $200 can is trivial (least bang for your buck).

Should I stick to my Maguire or give Griots products a try? Griots seems to have a lot of positive reviews.

I've tried about 20 different carnuba's and while no one can justify spending the money but yourself. I am still amazed by the ease of use of Swissvax compared to any other carnuba I've used. It's brainless--unlike others which have cure times, and highly depend on how think/thin you put it on.

And by the end of a 15 hour detail, the last thing I want is to calculate the exact time that I need to wipe off the wax, or worry about it streaking and hazing. With swissvax, I never worry.

Its all about the prep work! However I have been using Swissvax Mystery and love it. Water beads nice and tight for many washes. Offers very good protection , easy to apply.

Here are some pictures of my Audi S4 - Full paint correction went in to this. Sorry for the amateur shots

I have tried $150 Zymol down to $15 off the shelf wax. Honestly, I can't justify the 10x price increase. It definitely does not perform 10x better.

I've used several forms of wax, from Maguire's to Swissvax and truthfully, the difference is so minute that no one will notice. It's like wearing a Panerai; to everyone else it's a watch, but to you it's "special."

it's not the difference that you can see it's what the zymol will do for you car that most other waxes wont.your cars body is almost like human skin. when the uv rays from the sun hit it, if it's not protected correctly it will get damaged.Zymol has the chemicals needed to protect you car from the damaging rays of the sun.that's the difference from an expensive wax and a cheap one.I would go with the zymol they start out about $50 for an 8oz jar or if you have $30,000 to spare you can go with there top of the line wax that come with free refill for life.

That's news to me. OCW has uv inhibitors in it, at $15 a bottle. I don't think zymol even makes such claims. Not to be a hater but I'd like to see some proof that Zymol is any better and yes I have used Zymol "carbon" it was good wax nothing special one way or another.
