Yellow AEs make me think of those oxidized headlight commercials for some reason. Contrast FTW

so Hi! and I hate to be controversial in my first post..... but I actually prefer the yellow halo rings over the white ones... in my mind they are just a bit classier (especially on the black) and like a little ring of gold.... the white ones are just a bit to ricey for me!
used to have a sliver 535d E60.. and upgraded them to white LEDS and that looked hot.. but just feel that on a newer model black M3 the gold looks better..

anyway just needed to say that and each to their own!

Muchas Gracias!
You are entitled to your opinion, but you definitely do not know the definition of the term "ricey". Rice refers to mods that give the illusion of higher performance when no such performance actually exists. Putting an M badge on a non-M car is rice. Putting brake dust shields that look like drilled or slotted rotors is rice.

White halos are just white halos. Either you like them or you don't but there is nothing ricey about them.

Im with you on that..for my 335i I never would consider changing the yellow halos..especially on a titantium silver car

But when I got my alpine white M3 it had a set of blue Lux angel eyes on it already and it was complete

Exterior colors really matter

I got the 5K ones from Lux on the last buy. I think those are perfect. 6500K just looked too aftermarket to me.

all the white does is accentuate a signature feature of the car– I really fail to see how that's ricey at all. if people start 'eye-lining' the headlight casings with LEDs, then I would definitely agree.

Exhxibit A of ricey:

i think the yellow halos look retro..i like it....think about it this way, with almost all new cars moving into the led or bright whites, your car will be the one standing out on the road. it'll be unique.

Well I'm pretty sure I have the stock OEM halos on my car. I certainly haven't changed them. They look pretty white to me in person. I took some quick pics with my phone and they don't look as white as they do in person. I like them either way. I don't mind the whiter aftermarket ones either. I could go either way. I don't really care for those amber aftermarket ones however.

For me, I've just always wanted a car with those precious halo's to call my own and I've finally gotten one. Couldn't be happier.

I just went out to the driveway and took these...

I don't mind the yellow OEM look but IMO the stock is not bright enough, at all. Can barely see them during a bright sunny day. You can definitely see my LUX though

especially on a black M3 (Like Darks) they certainly look Golden rather than yellow.. and as we all know... Gold is the winning colour...

Again, this isn't "rice". It may be "GheTTo" or sleazy, but "rice" has a very different meaning.

Agree with the OP on this one. I like the look of the oem amber halos on my 08 E90 more so than the bright white led's on the newer models. I think bright white drl's are too after market for my taste.
