Well, set a new PR at MSR Cresson yesterday and of course didn’t get it on video
On the bright side, I’m glad it ended up being a good day, because on the drive to the track in the morning and while swapping wheels in the paddock there were snow flurries. Lol good ‘ole TX weather haha

Which config were you running? What did you do better to set a new PB? What data system do you use?

Thanks.
To narrow down the possibilities I am going to focus on 275/35/19 and 295/30/19 on the rear.

I don't see anything compelling enough at 285/35/19 that will add anything

1.7 CCW - borrowed an AiM for data. Couldn’t get it to work really through just the OBD, but still got quite a bit out of just the GPS data. Watching videos (with data on them) and taking notes on a track map Friday night on things I wanted to work on really helped. Also had a really helpful instructor in the car pushing me to go faster.

With all thing being similar, I wonder how do different BBK kits/brands compares. Say why some are more expensive than the other ones. Is better performance (longer high temperature endurance) or?
I run stoptech trophy STR40 in the front only and they seem to work fine for me.

No need to go all out.

Another question, is there any cost effective camber checking tool? I don't plan to do alignment myself. But I would want to check if they are in good shape from time to time. thx

It's one of the bigger/pricy item to buy. I wanted to make the right decision than swapping around after awhile.

But probably also one of those things that you never know which works the best until you really try it.

I recommend against buying used BBKs..usually you're better off with fresh everything.

A Stoptech BBK is about the lowest cost BBK which provides adequate thermal capabilities. I recommend getting the ST40 BBK on the front axle instead of the ST60. ST40 pads are cheaper and more common. Pads on an ST60 kit don't last any longer than an ST40 setup.

The big appeal of the ST60 is it has a slightly narrower caliper body for better wheel clearance.

Haha now this is the legit question!! I'm installing my brakes next week, and even my go-to local parts guy said today "well if you had asked me last week I had 7 bottles, but I sold them all now."
I looked last week at his eBay account and he had them listed at $125/ea so somebody paid that much for it... I was just going to pay him cost LOL

With fresh Motul RBF660 and PFC 08 pads, you can go pretty far but braking performance consistency is an issue. That’s why I’m upgrading.

With the sales going on now, the difference in price between the ST40 and ST60 (PM forum sponsors for pricing) isn’t large enough to be saving a significant amount going the ST40 route. Send me a PM if you want to know where I got the lowest price on ST60s.

Pad price differences for ST40 vs ST60 are pretty significant though.

Since ST40/60 are not that crazy expensive anymore, I am debating if it is worth go all the way to ST60 Trophy kit. It's certainly not going to be as good as AP Racing or Z54. But the $1k+ difference will allow me to do other mods in the short term.(eg all subframe/control arm/diff bushings)

But the wet boiling point is almost 100 degrees lower, and I'm on the once a year flush schedule.

If you're changing fluid frequently then wet shouldn't matter much. Wet is just the temperature the fluid will boil once it consumes 3.7% of water.

If you do fluid flushes every year then you may not get to this point. So just using dry comparisons, endless is slightly higher. And it is cheaper too.

Sweet, welcome to the best kit on the market

I have a lot of SRF. I thought it was no longer in short supply, but if you can't find it elsewhere I'll sell a bottle for what I paid + shipping

RE71RS announced in Japan. 5% more tread life. Wonder if it will come to the states.

And 1.1% average decrease in lap time with 2.0% being the biggest decrease. That sounds pretty awesome combined with increased life. Could make a huge difference in events with TW restrictions. Also 295/30/18.
