New To M3Post
m-threee! I have always liked the m3 since I was 16. I remember getting a fun ride in my friends when I was in high school. When I turned 16 I got a TT Supra and I will admit I was spoiled. When I turned 23 the Supra was burned in a house fire (fraternity brothers ) and I was too broke to buy anything, well, fast. So I putted around in a clk320 that was a POS till it broke down and I had to buy a car in cash. Therefore I had a Volvo s70, 1995 white with all the seats cracking and the speedo not working.
Well, I met the girl of my dreams two years ago and many things got better. She taught me to fix my credit (bad business venture screwed it up) and save money so therefore I bought a 06 G35 Coupe 6MT. I have been over at 6mt.net off and on. I was also a member of mkiv.com. Well, she drove an e46 330ci 6mt silver, and sold it for a AW 335i Coupe 6mt Nav with all the bells and whistles. As any guy I could not have a gf with a faster car than I. I waited a couple of months and found an 08' AW m3 6mt with almost everything. Nav, parking, cold weather, ipod/usb, comfort access, sun roof, and more. The only thing is it did not come with 19" rims and I'm guessing there is a leather wrapped dash/pillar kit it did not come with. As a warning if you owe more than 45k on your car at this time for 08's, (as trade-ins) you are barely beating the depreciation. Unfortunately, the guy that had my car before me parked it on curbs so the felt splash guards are ripped up and the bumper has a little scuff. The worst part is he purchased a '09 911 turbo after trading in the m3... I would hate to see what that thing will look like next year. Sorry to ramble, but I will be taking pictures of both cars and will post again soon. Just wanted to say hi to the community I will search/post/replying to for the next couple of years. I'm a perfectionist so I need to have the "little" things fixed before I do the pictures. And yes, I have to take my car in for the rubbing/differential noise, and other bulletined items since the previous owner was a complete idiot and didn't mind his car. So list of mods I would like to do in a couple of months are: Intake (Dinan or perhaps the Gruppe M) Exhaust (not sure which one, the titanium are a little too pricey) Pulley Rims and Drop (after we get a second garage though) we have had some theft issues in our area and we share a one car garage. Eventually a G-Power supercharger. I will research these items and thanks to the wealth of knowledge on here I should come to have a great setup. Thanks in advance for the help. Her 335 is in the garage and that is my old G out front, never modded it bc I didn't really like the car and I knew I was going to get rid of it. Cheers All! Excited to own an M3! welcome to the site!
As for the scrapes underneath the front bumper... it happens with these cars, especially on driveways. But at least it's underneath and cant be seen! |
