Yeah, I know $1,500 over invoice is not very bad but still when you read about $1K less than that, feels like, well, you could have done something else with that $1k than to give it to the dealer.
Knowing all that I will not accept any additional charges for sure!

How much are people paying over invocie on a Spec'd car? I am sure if you order the car exactly how you want then the deal won't be as good. Anyone?

I don't believe anyone is ordering anything but a "spec'ed car". Otherwise it would defeat the purpose of waiting for two months and plunking down a deposit.

I'm paying $1,500 over for Euro delivery on my spec - but now expect to get another 7% off now that it looks like they will extend ED discounts to M-cars

Don't sweat it, you got a great deal. When the '08s first came out people were happily dropping well over MSRP. When you could first order '09s people were excited about a few ticks off MSRP. You just ordered a premium car EXACTLY how you want it and only paid $1,500 over invoice. Like everything else in life, you can ALWAYS second guess yourself. Just enjoy the ride, man. When you're taking in the twisties, you'll forget all about this thread.

My car is on order. Sitting at port of exit. I think most of those on this thread are '09 orders.

I am OK with the 1,500 over invoice, just don't want to see any additional "items" misteriously appear on my invoice. I am thinking about financing part of this car now, which I've never done before.
By the way my car is STILL at the port of exit, after nearly two weeks now.

There was a time when I was younger , where I would of bitten on your bait to drag this discussion to the sewer. It would also be very easy for me to respond in kind and really get your panties in a bind. But really, you can't offend me.

Now with that being said, if you mistook my response as being terse or in anyway derrogatory, let me apologize. I commentate on this forum through the course of work and may have misread your question and try to respond as directly as possible do to my boss wouldn't take too kindly me writing an exposition on company time. I come here to enjoy the comraderie and kinship of fellow M3 fanatics, not the pretenders/ posers/dreamers of other sites.

So relax, enjoy your self and please don't key my car!

I understood what born2panic meant. I bought mine off the lot and think that timing is a big factor in price. He was wondering the price difference between ordered cars and cars bought on impluse.

If it was sitting on the dealers lot you should of gotten a better deal. Yet you got what you wanted and didn't have to wait, so as long as your happy with your purchase who cares!

I seem to be the only one to mention the DOC fee so far? Others?

Hey Matt,
Only a few more weeks and not only can I piss off old people here but old grannies on the beltway too. Its too bad you have to wait so long. But just remember your will always be a couple months younger than mine and your resale value will be astronomical compared to mine!

Are you gonna join the local M3 club around here? I'm thinking about it and possibly join them at on of their bar meets.

A couple months younger than yours. LOL. Thanks for trying to console me, though you have'nt succeeded. To answer your question on the M3 club; I'm not sure at this time given my family and business obligations.
Make sure to post your opinions of the new M// when it arrives, as I'll be sure to do the same. Good-luck.
