That's a bummer. I wonder if it has to do with the angle of attachment at the 2 ends? With the factory 2 piece, the attachment point between the drive shaft at the transmission case and the diff can be relatively straight out and using the CV joint for the angle change between the 2 ends. But with a one piece, we lost that. It becomes a straight line between those 2 points. And the transmission might not be in linear alignment with the diff (pointing straight at each other). Wonder if it would wear out something faster in the long run? Maybe a different transmission mount and diff mount to change the angle can address this? I am just guessing around here. Cheers.

Don't forget CF wheels. Shelbys get them, why not us?

I contacted www.pstds.com and they said they can custom make a CF drive shaft in 2-3 weeks for ~$1000. You just need to take all the measurements that they require.

Since I have never read any negatives about it I just may follow through.
i just called them they said they dont make them.

i just called dss like 5 minutes ago and they said they need a dct car for about two weeks for clearance issues, because they made some dct shafts based on measurements people gave them and the shafts where returned because of fitment issues.

Bumping an old thread since there's a Group Buy going on now on a DRY CF shaft, so minimal glue vs. the wet type most others offer.
