Permanent M mode

Anyone drive permanently in 'M' mode? Any pros/cons to doing this?

Thinking of "hard wiring" it so no need to push button? Can't see any issues with constant M mode other than wearing the dash light out...😉

Well since that mode is SUPER configurable, I set it to maximum attack mode and I use it only when I drive spirited. Otherwise I drive in D2 + occasionally using the power button.

Your back will forgive you for not driving in full M mode if you have a ZCP car

ZCP is a package option that included lowered suspension setup and M359 wheels. I drive mine in M mode (full everything) nearly 100% of the time. Only time it briefly comes off is if I’m driving on a road I know is in rough shape or when a good amount of snow is on the road. But in the end it’s down to personal preference

I hardly ever drive mine in M mode; only when I'm feeling extra froggy. Couldn't imagine hardwiring that in but it doesn't sound like the best idea.

You can actually set it to be on by default in the idrive, took me a long time to find that out.

You guys realize you have been saying a misnomer in this thread.

M Mode is really "OWNER MODE".

You could set your M button settings to be granny mode you push the M button and your suspension could be comfort, steering normal, trans on less aggressive 1, etc. and an M would be on your dash.

Yes it does just that. It has a cylinder shut down system.

I usually drive in full comfort mode. Anything more aggressive feels like the car is gonna shake into pieces on most of Long Island's shitty back roads and chewed up parkway ramps.

Programmed my M button to most aggressive settings for when I find myself on smooth, open pavement.

Am I the only guy that barely notices a difference between Comfort, Normal, and Sport modes on the EDC?

Is there any easy way to check if it's working correctly? The car seems to drive normally.

Not sure if there's an easy way to check. For me, the ride is definitely rougher with EDC in sport compared to comfort. Maybe would be difficult to tell the difference on very smooth roads.
