The dct was a $2,700 upgrade when new, but in used car markets the 6mt will go for near $2,700 more than dct.

(That might be an exaggeration.....but they definitely bring up the price in the used car market.)

When the car was first coming out it was faster than 99% of the cars on the street so people wanted the fastest version of the fastest car. But now it’s not loved for its brutal performance but more for the feelings and the sound and the power delivery and special-ness...the dct is not as important. The engaging feeling of the “driver’s car” is why people buy the e9x m3. And we all know the engaging feeling is enhanced with a 6 speed.

Just my opinion.

Now that I see these bean counters having full erection wanting to slap the generic ZF8 on every M car, I think DCT will also be a keeper.
Pass me if you can.
