$700 to install springs??!! WTF?

Guys is this the going rate to install springs in the Bay Area? Went to my local BMW performance shop that has worked on several of my past ///M cars. $6-700 is what they quoted me to install H&R springs. Are they on crack or am I??

Thanks

SonicMS charged me $350 for installation and alignment. Very happy with the job. Great guys!

The F? My inital quote was 250 at RennSpec. Paid slightly less.

Got alignment done through a friend's acquaintance for 90 bucks, and it was on a full hunter system, so it wasn't like it was a half-ass Firestone alignment or anything.

That price is just wrong. They're pushing M tax to the limit there.

Drive down from the Bay and talk to Gary from RennSpec or Anthony from Riss Racing. Even with the drive and the gas, you'll still get it a helluva lot cheaper than what you just got quoted....

Don't worry, your title hit the nail on the proverbial head.

Seriously, are they even getting any business with those crazy rates? No spring install, unless you're doing up a Lamborghini through those crazy fools at Unique Autosport with like gold plates and bling on them, should cost that much.

They're probably trying to rip you off due to the nature of EDC, but install is exactly the same as on regular shocks. Those guys are clearly mad.

LoL gotta love the stupid prices you get thanks to the M badge. Springs are springs and a regular spring install on a regular car is $150-$200. I had my g35 springs done for $150.00 at a nissan performance shop. But that M badge on top of the respect will cost you lol. I paid $400.00 with alignment which I feel was fair. $700.00 is ridiculous. Good luck man.

$700 sounds like the Dinan install price, which is ridiculous. Local shops are half that. Call SonicMS.
