I remember being anxious for car deliveries in the past, always exciting.

Whereabouts in the Bay are you? We have quite a few E90s around here that get together. We'll have to put something together sometime.

Car looks great! Needs a paint correction but I might just live with it and not stress. Car also dirty off the truck so it will see a wash this weekend. Front lip that's scratched will come off and splitters will go on. CF mirrors too. Got them in the mail today.

Love it.

Looking gooood!
And sometimes the reduced stress from not needing to keep something perfect is worth it, haha. At times I miss my old beaters.

Oh yea, having a car be in bad cosmetic shape and not worth much is a GREAT feature that people underestimate. Nothing like backing your rim into a curb and not giving a fuck at all. Or parking anywhere without a second thought.

I considered getting white/silver/gray/black in questionable cosmetic shape so I wouldn't worry about the car, but I knew I would always regret not getting IB. I also knew getting an IB sedan would add some stress, but the car is so handsome and there are SOOO many boring color cars on the road already!

Car washed

CF front left and right front splitters added.

I had the exact same IB/PS combo on my '08 ///M3 sedan. Looks good!

Would you have had a different interior if you could do it over again?

Naw. PS is a great interior color, and I had it optioned in my '11.5 AW ///M3 coupe as well (...my '10 JB ///M3 had black leather). I actually prefer it to the Silverstone that has been optioned on my current and previous ///M4's.

Going to have OEM exhaust mod done tomorrow. Priority is little to no drone. Don't want it super loud, and some tracks won't let you drive if it's too loud. Currently I basically hear no exhaust, it's all engine. Leaning toward 2 pipe. Shop suggested 4 pipe.

My understanding is the options are:

2 pipe method.

2.5 method. This is where the small perforated pipes are have wrapped half uncovered? Seems people only get this in the UK?

4 pipe is all perforated pipes replaced.

ACM/bypass is instead of replacing the perforated everything is cut out and the pipes just go straight through the muffler and out with no bends, just straight through.

Also instead of welding pipes I seen people just wrap them. Another variation is not putting the fiberglass back in, can't imagine going for that though.

Any opinions?

So it's time for new tires but the wheels are 19x10 front and 19x10.5 rear and I would like to run Michelin Sport 4S. Trouble is they don't make a 285/30-19 for the rears.

Does anyone think 275/35-19 would fit? Or is that crazy and too tall? I could try 275/30-19 in the rear.

OR I could move the front wheels to the back to run 275/35-19 and get new front wheels and sell the rear wheels. Don't really want to do that though if I can find a setup that makes sense with the current wheels I have.

I'm running PS4S in 255/35-19 on 9.5 ET22 up front and 275/35-19 on 10.5 ET22 in the rear. It's only one size larger than stock, and it's not too tall.

Actually live in Taylors...just moved here two weeks ago from Raleigh NC. I do most work myself for out of warranty cars, but I've heard good things about EuroTechnik in Hendersonville...just noticed you posted in that thread referring to it. If I have rod bearings done one day, I'm planning to check them out.

Cool beans. I have been in GVL for about 1.5 years. I used to live in RDU (North Durham/Treyburn). There is a monthly cars and coffee at the Michelin headquarters off of the Parkway which is not too far from you. This months feature is BMW. Feel free to check it out.

275/35/19 is a common rear size, I run it too.
Cant help on the exhaust mod differences.
