$1000 off msrp and free mats in Arizona

Just ordered my M3 coupe today. Thought I share that they will give $1000 off msrp and free mats. Internet/fleet sales mgr "James Bond" - no joke that is his real name, super nice guy. Got to test drive the car on wednesday and placed my order today. Very good service and easy to communicate with.

No they're not. Very common "gift" from you dealer, but not included as standard.

Doesn't the car come with the regular BMW mats from the factory?
The M3 mats are not.

Now, that's messed up. In the dealer's fees they charge you, you already pay for mats. They are f'ing you.
My M3 mats took awhile to get in. Just picked them up today. 3 weeks after I picked the car up.

No, mats of any flavor are not standard. Any ones you get you buy or are gratis from the dealer. Check the complete listing of standard equipment if you don't believe me.

Yeah I got screwed, I was charged $140 for mats and now I got to pay for the M3 mats when it gets here. At least that's what my newbie CA told me. When the mats get here I will go see the sales manager to see what he can do since I am a loyal customer and this was the fourth car I bought from them. We'll see what happens when the M3 mats get here, if they ever do.

Hmm. Looks like I scored two sets of mats from my dealer then. Although the M3 mats came with rear seat mats.

Thanks for the Post (1st M3 Coupe Discount Post), a few questions:

- Did he charge you the MACO or Training Fee? [BMW Dealers refer to it as a "Standard Fee" for non-ED cars]

- Are they going to be the //M Mats or just standard Mats?

- What did he charge for Dealer Doc Fee?

- Any non-car-specific Fees like extended warranty, paint protection, wheel/tire insurance, Lo Jack, etc? [ie, Any other Junk Fees, other than Sales Tax]

- Was it a Lease or Finance/Cash type sale?

How many "Internet/Fleet" CAs do they have at Camelback? Did you inquire thru their Website for initial contact?

- Oh hell, just do us all a favor and post the sales receipt (not the top part with your personal info, just the numbers part)

BTW, why did you go to Camelback versus McDowell? Or North Scottsdale?

Congrats!

Mine should be here this week on McDowell.. I was first to place an order there so I didn't get anything off MSRP.. oh well.. Atleast I should have it this week! My M3 just made it to Port Hueneme this morning. It's been a looong wait.

North scottsdale won't discount. Mcdowell's used car mgr / buyer pissed me off with a low ball buy offer of $7,000 less cash than camelback for my 07 x5 4.8 - don't like working wth a dealership where the mgr, in this case, the used car buyer/mgr has a bad attitude, and attempted to take advantage of me. If the mgr does this i can only imagine how his employees will act?? wow

Very possible, who knows what the market will do in 2 months time waiting for my car to build. If we know that the market is lower and others are doing this, I guess I could offer less at that time and ask them to discount more then - I think they will honor what is happening in the market and lower the deal to make the sale IMO. or I can just walk away from the deal and get my deposite back.

Thanks for the info. BTW, the Dealer Doc Fee is usually pre-printed on the Sales Contract and usually they won't budge and discount it. Be careful on your trade value when you actually go to pickup the M3, that they don't play games; ie, if I were you I'd park it in the garage and only use it for minimal drives before your trade, just to be sure

yeah thanks for looking out..

I am wondering if anyone has ever had the doc fee waived then if its preprinted on the contract?

The trade was not involved in the discount of the coupe and was not part of the deal. I kept the 2 seperate.

When I tried to push against it (because I had negotiated an ED Invoice + $xxxx type deal) I was told everybody gets charged the Doc Fee, even the CA himself when he buys a car; yeah, right
Then on the back of the sales receipt is an Arbitration Agreement stating I can't sue if any issues. I'd guess Chapman does the same.

The OEM mats are so crappy that they should toss them in for free. I absolutely hate mine...
