Just some small mods. Painted grills and rear diffuser (Interlagos)
Here are some pics of my interlagos with the CF diffuser.. Also installed the front grills, painted OEM sparkling graphite gray. The color is a little darker than the wheels, but it still looks great IMO. From a distance it looks black, meaner, but closer it looks more put together when you see the rims too.
BTW, fit on the rear diffuser is pretty good, and cant beat the free scoup deal! The scoups are installed but they are really hard to see. Now I'm just waiting to do my custom exhaust (The idea: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=253661 ), gray-painted side markers and blue Ti rolled tips from CYBA (when he's done with the prototyping). BTW, There is where I got my diffuser, painted grills and free scoups: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=237862 - highly recommend CYBA, great guy and service. Thanks for the compliments!
I really love the 18's too. I'm not a 19" fan. IMO, it makes the car, especially with interlagos - the colors work so well together. |

The M emblem is the same as the ones people buy as matte for the rear. I think the sizing is good for the front grill. But mine is actually glossy, not matte. I got it from WheelSTO for around $30. I used a little L bracket that I painted and some VHB tape to affix it well, although I bet it would stay on there for a long time using just the adhesive from the emblem itself. I was surprised how well it stuck after cleaning it with isopropyl. The emblem had VHB affixed to it.
Fwiw, I've seen emblems that are designed to be used on the front grill - they have a couple threaded screws and it latches behind a couple slats with a plate. I was going to use this on the rear, but I didnt like how it looked against interlagos - couldnt see the M3 part well enough. |
