I felt it was appropriate to share with this group since it seems that some of you may have known Jerry Cao and he even attended a few of these monthly meets in the past. I went to high school with him (he was a year younger than me), I never knew the guy too well but he was always a nice kid and a fellow car enthusiast. I never knew he was into BMWs until about 8-9 months ago when I was still living in socal I saw him post some pics up on his facebook from the monthly M meet (looks like he had a white m235i), that's actually how I first learned about this meeting. When I moved up here I remember thinking maybe I would run into him at one of the meets but since we haven't talked in years I didn't reach out to him just hoping that maybe one time we'll both show up together.

Well I learned today that he passed last week, as I mentioned he was younger than me and we were never close, just casual friends so I have no details but looking at his facebook now it seems that he has a few of you guys as mutual friends so I wanted to respectfully share this with the group. RIP Jerry, you will be missed.

Jerry was a coo dude man...we talked all the time at these monthly M meets and on FB. I'm shocked to hear this terrible news and he will be missed. RIP Jerry.

Yes, I chatted with him once or twice and we were connected on FB. I have no clue what happened but noticed the RIP message posts on my newsfeed. I am guessing it was suicide. I couldn't tell if anything like that was bothering him - I hope whatever it is, that he's at peace now

Sorry man it's a bad weekend since a lot of people are going to bimmerfest. Some of us who aren't will be going to the BMW CCA meet Sunday morning.
