I listed a combined income (wife and myself) the amount is far below my working life that now is behind me since we are retired.

Actually my income varies, it all depends what I like to do the next 6 to 12 months. Perhaps another poll is needed for retired folks like me Oh God no don't start another poll whatever you do

I'm glad I set up my finances as a guaranteed income plan (80% of it at least) so whatever they mess up in Europe with the Euro will not affect my daily life. Still I hope to pay myself bonuses here and then for the toys I like the basic plan is to leave this earth with nothing left for that is how I came into this world (I know it is not possible, still it's a good retirement plan).

You may have seen the bumper sticker on the Vacation Van it read ...

We are spending our childrens inheritance !

I have to get me a bumper sticker like that

I like this ... only I understood it to be Politics, Religion and Sex as I observed once as I stopped at a Truck Stop on one of my extended road trips I think it was in 2005 in my then e46. There was a bar near by and since it was late I checked into the near by motel and after dinner at the truck stop (we all know if on the road and you like a good meal stop where the truckers eat after all them men know best being the backbone of America) I stopped in the bar for a few local beers.

Anyway in the bar near this truck stop was this trucker and he was quite intoxicated when I overhard this discussion between him and the bartender.

Trucker to Bartender; "Bartender is it okay to talk about Politics here in your bar?

Bartender to Trucker; "We never ever talk about Politics in this bar!"

Trucker to Bartender; "Bartender is it okay to talk about Religion here in your bar?"

Bartender to Trucker; "We never ever talk about Religion in this bar!"

Trucker to Bartender; "Bartender is it okay to talk about Sex here in your bar?"

Bartender to Trucker; "Of course Sex is always a welcome subject in this bar!"

Trucker to Bartender; "F..k off"

Anyway that is the way I overheard the conversation almost the same subject matter with a slight twist I still have to when I think back.

LOL.

There was this post a while back from this college kid whose dad bought him an M3. The kid said he felt he deserved it because he "worked really hard and got good grades".

I told him, "go and walk into a BMW dealership and tell them to give you an M3 because you worked really hard and got good grades".

Game over.

I suppose one thing to consider, however, is that at this point, many people may have bought used, making the car easier to afford also.
