Verstraβe Extended Aluminum DCT Shifter Paddles

I drop by SonicMS last night to get an alignment done since my alignment was off from the KW SLEEVE install.

I always wanted to check out the paddles in person before purchasing one, after looking at all the color options i decided to go with dark brushed gun metal. Darwin offer to do the install since i was there hanging out anyways, it took him 15-20mins to complete the install while i was talking to him about the Track Car Build that was there. The paddles are worth every penny, it should have came like this from BMW! its so much easier to shift gears and feels great compare to OEM paddles. Only regret is i should have gotten it sooner hahaha

They look great! I've been mulling it over and just order them online.
I have the same color interior as you, and was going back and forth on the finish I'd get. Like the look of the gunmetal from your pics, so that's what I'm going with

Hopefully the airbag doesn't deploy in my face when I attempt to install them!!!

Just make sure you tape the air bag to the steering wheel, it makes it easier to unscrew the paddles section.

Yeah I look at all the finish and pick gunmetal because I it matches Better with my interior, it's worth every penny!

Unhook the battery anytime you touch an airbag. I'm sure you know this but just in case.

To the thread, I also purchased the gunmetal. There are few mods that I would give an unqualified recommendation for but I would this one. Its more than they look kick ass, it gives you more area to tap the paddle when your off center such as corner exit when the wheel isn't fully unwound yet. They also have a much better tactile feel to them. They seem a bit pricey for what you get but I have yet to see anyone regret dropping the ching and I don't think there will be too many that do.

I installed mine a little over a week ago. Install was very easy (once I found the slots in the steering columb to release the airbag!) I'm EXTREMELY pleased with these paddles. As you said, not only do they look more bad-ass, there is a functionality aspect to it as well.

I swapped out my paddles in my 335i to M3 paddles. Not a bad do it yourself.
Step 1 Disconnect battery so the airbag doesn't go off
Step 2 feel under the side of your steering column for little divets. Insert a jewelry flat head screwdriver, press against the spring and push the airbag up. Do the other side. This step is a pain in the ass.
Step 3 tape the airbag up so you don't have to disconnect it
Step 4 unscrew the steering wheel cover
Step 5 unscrew the paddles and disconnect
Step 6 reassemble the paddles with the new paddles
Step 7 put it all back together

This was from memory, should be pretty close.

I've seen this on a customers car! Very good quality. In fact, I think BMW should come OEM like this!
