The quote losely translates to "I came, I saw, I conquered". The previous quote would translate to "I came, I saw, I slept", sort of. Amusing carved into a school desk.

Your second translation wouldn't make any sense, because 'Veci' isn't a word in latin. I think you are assuming it says that.. There is however 'veći' in Croatian.
Maybe he misspelt Vici, and was trying to say that 'He came, he Conquered, he Slept."
Saying that school wasn't a challenge for him??
