Pollen and dust

My car is a weekend car so it does sit inside the garage everyday, I don't cover it with a car cover though I probably should. What's the general consensus on using a California duster or something like that on a lightly pollen/dust covered vehicle? I don't use one just because I feel no matter the claims it would still leave some type of abrasion, but could be wrong.

Happy Father's Day!

Edit: never mind, Found some answers through a quick search which were helpful. Carry on

And those answers said...?

I usually just sneeze a few times and the pollen is blown right off the car.

I have used the Chemical Guys Dust Monster XL for over a year now with perfect results. No scratching, no marks. After about 6 months it tends to start getting kinda nasty so I just throw it out and order another.

To be clear, it is NOT for removing heavy dust or debris.

Thanks Dparm, was hoping you would add something. The static electricity of the wool makes total sense as there is no pressure being applied to the surface to scratch it. Just ordered one

Omg, this is great. I will definitely be picking one of these up. Early spring pollen season in SC drives me crazy lol... it is impossible to keep my car clean. This is the perfect solution!
