Dyno Results - E93 M3 - ***Pics/Vids/Graphs*** <382.8hp>

As I posted earlier yesterday, I went to dyno my E93 M3 on a Dynapack Dyno. Apparently they are the most accurate readings because they actually attach to the cars hub and measure the power. I did 5 runs, 4 of them in 3rd gear, and 1 in 4th gear.

Thanks to Pencilgeek for giving me the proper gear ratios to use and giving me a few heads up on how do it properly.

In case anyone needs to know...the proper gear ratios for 6MT are:
For 3rd gear, use 6.084 gear ratio. For 4th gear, use 4.586.

FYI: 94 Octane Fuel - Half tank filled!

Here are the links to the videos on youtube.

1st run:

2nd run:

3rd run:

4th run:

5th run:

I'll post pics this afternoon.

and here are the dyno sheets.
the 1st one is my best run...3rd gear pull. 382.8 hp

the 2nd graph is a graph of my 1st run, 3rd run (4th gear) and 5th run (the best one)

Did they use a correction factor to take the cool temps into effect as it was about -6c which is quite a bit below standard. That will contribute to higher readings.Still very good readings though.

Nice. I assume those gear ratios were used to correct the numbers based on the fact that you dyno'd in 3rd and 4th, as opposed to 5th which has the usual 1:1 ratio for dyno testing?

FYI, the amount of gas in the tank has no effect on dyno numbers, unless it's so empty that the engine isn't getting fuel.

[QUOTE=PencilGeek;4002912]I've looked at the dyno files. They used SAE 1394 correction (the industry standard). The correction factors were right around 3.6% -- which is very normal.

Where do you see the correction factors?I only see SAE standard on the graphs.

I sent PG my dyno files, when I finished my runs I handed the guys over @ the Dyno place my USB stick, and they uploaded my 5 runs to it!

Very impressive numbers considering some dyno around 340's stock.
