Thumbs down Bimmian sucks something awful

i know i don't post very often, but felt the need to this time. This is a PSA for those who don't already know. Bimmian is awful, take your business elsewhere.

My latest attempt to do business with them:
-Free shipping on a $1700 order.. just kidding, "our website is new and that's not true"

-we need 2 forms of ID send us your driver's license??? how about hell no. they wont take anything else either "we've been requiring it for 16 years".

-demands payment be sent via bank wire transfer instead of credit card. ya right

unreal. felt like i was dealing with a Nigerian Prince here.

That's not cool, sounds like really bad customer service on their part, plus they just lost a big sale from you. There are plenty of other amazing vendors that service the BMW community, I would try IND, Turner or ECS first.

If it's the Bimmian I know, it's a Canadian based business. They ask for this on out of country purchases because there is no protection for them should the credit charge be reversed on your end.

I live in Canada, if I place an order at GetBMWParts.com, they won't ship me anything unless I provide photo ID with my credit card purchase (at least on the 1st order I ever placed with them). When I questioned why, it has something to do with the merchant processing.

Not saying you should order from them, but I would also not suggest they are defrauding you, just being careful.

If that is the case which, I do not know as I haven't ordered ever from Bimmian. They could do right by at least explaining the reasoning for why. Like I'm always blown at how shitty some companies communications are. Majority of the time customers get frustrated because they are not fully aware of the circumstances or situation and companies have the shittiest way at diffusing it or bringing clarity!
