[need help]Exhaust experts

Hello guys,

My current setup is the remus race catback exhaust + race tube. I love the sound from outside but not so much when i am inside the car. The drone is just getting more and more annoying. What should I do in order to keep the sound (at least some) and lower the sound in the cabin? Hope this is clear. No other mod has done to my car, these two things only. Thanks in advance

Smile,
Tim

Somewhere in the x-pipe section. Just take a look under the car and you'll quickly figure out.

Thanks. Will this reduce much of the drone?

The Remus Race drones enough with a stock xpipe... I don't even want to imagine what it sounds like with race tubes....

No it won't. Some exhausts drone with oem xpipe.
Firstly you have to check if your slip on exhaust drones on it own. The aftermarket pipe will definitely amplify the drone. One exhaust that is drone free is the akrapovic and Dinan slip on. Even when it paired with Dinan xpipe which does not have hfc only resonators. I also ha the same problem an I went through 5 different exhaust setups to finally find a winner.

I'm sure there are others out there but I have personally tested these setup myself. I have a friend who bought the gintani race. Had it on the car for 2 days and took it off. Too much drone.

Does anybody know if the sound deadening spray called Boom Mat helps? Comes in an aerosol can and apparently you just coat parts of the exhaust.

Find out if your Remus race exhaust drones from other owners first. If it does not then follow the techs suggestion. If it does then change the slip on

The best setup in my view is test pipes or an x-pipe with HFC. Pairing either of these with OEM muffler or even the OEM-perforated pipe cover method. Those are the two only ways to completely 100 percent eliminate drone, keep the high pitch raspy race sound and keep the 20whp gain all with no drone.
