So this may be useful for anyone thinking about buying the Eventuri intake components separately (instead of dropping $3500 on the whole thing). Today I added the intake elbow to the plenum I installed a few weeks ago. The plenum alone was such a *massive* upgrade in terms of sound and driving experience that I really wasnt expecting the elbow to make much of a difference. Surprisingly, it’s pretty noticeable. Maybe 10-20% louder throughout the rev range but especially <4k rpm, where, i think, it sounds more like the Karbonius now (based on videos ive seen/heard). Feels like the elbow added a bit of torque down low, as well? Some pix:

i normally drive very conservatively but once in a while, i feel like letting the car stretch its legs just a little bit especially to listen to the car growl and roar headphones recommended and officer, the date/time stamp as well as the speed on the dashcam are inaccurate

Here's a TIS on brake bleeding procedure: https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/f...ation/GfgD7vNY Basically, you bleed the brakes normally using the pressure bleeder until the fluid is clean and there are no more air bubbles, doing each corner one at a time in this order: RR, LR, RF, LF. Then you connect the scan tool, go to the BMW service menu, and under the stability control section there will be an option for brake bleed routine. When you run the routine it'll give you some instructions, but not everything that the TIS says, so refer to both. Basically, you open the bleeder valve on the corner it tells you to (same order as before), press OK on the scan tool and you'll see it run through the routine and hear the ABS pump activate, then press the pedal to the floor 5 times, then close the bleeder valve on that corner. Then move to the next one and repeat. |

Looks better! That brazilian sun and heat is no joke. It's wild you have a M3 in Brazil. Cars are crazy expensive there. I remember being an expat and living in Sao Paulo for work a couple of years ago around 2011 when the US/Real exchange rate was only 1:2 or something like that, and even having a Toyota corolla 4-dr sedan was considered a luxury car that people would admire. Congrats!

I’ve been happily running my Eisenmann Sport (Black Series) for a while now but when Joe@Trinity listed his clean E90 MPE V2 for a fair price I had to snag it to give it a try. I’d only heard MPE once in person (videos really don’t do this muffler justice) and really liked its unique tone.
So we made the swap today. So far I do really like it, but it’s darn quiet (like, close to stock unless WOT). I do like things on the quieter side and thought the Eisenmann was the perfect volume, loud enough to hear/enjoy from the driver’s seat but nothing more to draw unwanted attention or to let the town know when you’re on the go pedal. While Eisenmann has a deep, throaty tone, the MPE has a metallic (not raspy), exotic tone. Both are relatively tame (at least with the stock midpipe) and quite civil with no drone (though Eisenmann has some bass on cold start). Very different but equally good. I like the looks of both but edge goes to the MPE in this regard (plus a serious weight difference). Eisenmann would pair better with an aftermarket midpipe or TPs, IMO (though I’m keeping the stock midpipe). Both look well made but the Eisenmann seems to be finished nicer. Can’t lose! I’ll see if I want to part with one after a few months’ trial. Last edited by wyatth; 08-08-2020 at 12:04 AM.. |

My DME went bad, it would keep going into limp mode and then go away. It was doing this just once in a while and then this summer got pretty bad. Code was P0605 rom error or some sort of dme fault. Dealer wanted 2700 to replace it. I sent it out and had it cloned to a different dme by the ecu pro, just got it back today and is running good.

I brought my Son his first "Real" car (His 1st car was a 2000 Sentra) and had to explain to him no more Auto Zone brand parts after he came home with a Duralast serpentine belt after I told him to order a new belt for the GTI! I will get him there ....SMH

I've ran a duralast belt on my RX7, my STi, my S4, and have ran in on my M3 for the past 14k miles, no problems. What do you have against duralast? Of course I wouldnt buy duralast engine or suspension components, but a belt? Let your kid save some money, and be happy he can save money. I'm 27 and my parents always told me to save money when I could, and that transfers over to cars. Center caps? Ebay. Trim clips? Ebay. Hose clamps? Ebay. Carbon fibre aero? Ebay. Belt? AutoZone.
