After three month of waiting, the cars arrived finally at my house in Germany. Was very happy to see them again. Anyhow, the neighbours were on vacation, so we found some space for the vehicles. Had to develop a plan to get them on the road, I went for the e90 first.

At first I had to replace the rear lights with an European version. Not that expensive over here. Furthermore the vehicle got new brakes.
To get the car on the road was a bit difficult, I had to replace the whole key system, since in Europe they need to run on another frequency. Didn't expect that.
It finally worked out and the car got on the road, also with a proper number plate.

Sad to see this car leave the states, but happy to see you're still enjoying it! Hope to see it on the ring eventually.

The first trackday came sooner than expected. Usually we take the e36, but the day before on a small car show at the BMW museum in Munich, PAF FT325 had quite a high pressure in the cooling system and lost some water.
I booked a drift training with my daughter which we wanted to attend of course, but suddenly there was no car. So we had to use the e90. It was a 170miles drive, the Autobahn at 7am on Saturday was empty. The car reached the first time in his life max speed...
We put the old Z4M winter tires in the trunk and installed them at the track. Worked perfectly. My daughter can drift endless circles ...

e90 is running, so after the cold and dark winter we moved on with the e36 M3 and 325i.
We got some Styling 24 wheels and the motorsport door handle ...
Wheels got semi slick tires which can be used on both cars.

I put the vehicle on the trailer and brought it to a workshop to get the german approval to use it and TUEV approval. We were lucky, we already changed the headlights to Europe spec.

It is on the street now.

I wonder why you had to replace the entire key system? I imported two US-Spec M3s here to Germany as well (One I bought brand new and the other I bought from a friend) and I didn't have to do anything with the keys...just the tail lights and coding the LED Amber Lamps in the head lights to be turned off.

This regulation was in place 6 weeks. It was introduced, they found out it doesn`t work and it was removed again. I was there at the wrong time.
With the Z4, no problems...
