weird question

This has happened with my 335i and now the e92 m3 has anyone ever had it where every once in a while in the driver footwell heat is coming in from the car

I don’t notice any issues with heat in the foot well. Are you talking about heat from the drive train or hot air coming from the vents?

If it is air coming from the vents, then it is totally normal.

yea, because the heater core is right above the right side of the pedal box, in the center of the dashboard.

Well never had this issue over the last 15 years with 2 different e9X 335's and 2 different e92 M3's. Sounds like something isnt right.

not until i stripped the car. i know this isn't much help, but let me tell you- there is a lot of heat insulation in the driver's footwell and there is an opening where the dct wires go into the center hump that spews hot air into the center console area.
