Abnormal rear tire wear
Both of my rear 19" tires have severe wear on the inside of the tire, not the middle of the tire but the side that is inside. tire is sumitomo hrz and replaced this year. but the tires are showing the cord already on the one side.
Suspension is stock and wheel is stock too. Sounds like an alignment issue but I wanted to check if anyone else get this. Car tracks straight and does not pull on one side or another under WOT or freeway speeds. Thanks |

alignment or its just a guessing game.
silly question, but how many miles on it since you've replaced them; time doesn't much matter.

its most likely negative camber. my x5 corded the insides of the rears as well. have more negative camber on an x5 then on an m3 stock if you can believe that. could be a toe issue also in conjunction with the camber.

Have you checked the rear trailing arm bushings? it's the most commonly worn out rear suspension part that causes excess tire wear.

new tires are holding fine thus far. alignment is fine now too. i have driven the car almost 1500 miles and went to a track also.
RTAB is fine. thanks for chiming in but i think you guys are overly sensitive about it. a new bushing every 25k? c'mon.... do you change oil every 1k miles too? |

Hey guys im having the same problem but my tires are running smooth evenly and not just on inside or out :-( I had to fit new tires today (3rd set since December) and no one here in Dubai knows why. does the fact that im running normal tires on run on flat rims matter?
