Quite honestly, turbo and awd are both downsides for me. I don't care how fast it is (even the GTR), I'm not racing with anyone anyways.

The steering should be the remaining problem of RS models.

If you dot need the rear seats, I'd rather have a tt rs than the 135.

In my experience Audi manual transmissions are better than BMW transmissions.
Heel and toe is difficult on my fd's TTRS/S3.

I haven't driven an E9x M3 6MT, but I prefer the 6MT on my 1M more. Porsche still makes the best 6MT.

Good point on awd. Im not trying to take a turn in a neighborhood street at excessive speeds.

The main reason why I'd buy a sports car is to track it. From that perspective, AWD and Turbo is a no-no for me.

I could understand that the Haldex system in the TT is not the best for track use since it makes the car understeer a lot , but I don't understand the point of not wanting turbo or AWD for track !? Usualy turbo makes a lot of torque and that combine with AWD makes it really fun to WOT out of the corners !

It is simple: personal preferences

I track my 04 WRX, and I bet you would track it too, and enjoy yourself the entire time.

I'm NOT trying to attack you, but have you ever driven an AWD turbo on the track?
I've driven FWD, RWD, and AWD on the track and in autocross events and to me it is a matter of learning the car. Different breaking points, sharper apex, gas on after exit at different times and with different force. AWD is a blast on a track and a turbo with the lag can be a problem but I've learned the ticket to beat turbo lag is to get on the throttle earlier than normal.

When I first laid eyes on a TTRS in person I was truly impressed. Everything about the car (besides the wheels) is amazing. Price is definitely up there.

The TTRS is a really fun thing to drive...Ive been considering one...and they sell the DSG gearbox here in Australia...but because they are limited, there are no deals, and $150k for a TT seems abit steep!

We get thoroughly ripped off here!

Is there any possible way to get the TT-RS w/ the S Tronic here in the US? Drop the engine out and ship it as parts?? Idk. My gf doesn't want a manual. She's considering the TT-RS, TT-S, S5, F32 and X5.

I have a TT 3.2 Quattro as my DD/hooptie, and although it's not a TTRS, it is a blast to drive everyday. I couldn't imagine how much more fun a RS would be.

anything is possible with money. Unless she really need that hp bump, just get the TT-S.
