Get the Titans if you want to show off the brakes.
The Apex is a more classic design.

Titan would be my choice being as they are a forged wheel, but also because i see EC7 far too often.

The issue in this comparison is that, looking at 18s, the Apex is wildly overpriced. It's essentially the same price as a forged wheel

I'm still unclear how a Titan-7 wheel set is $2k for fully forged when all of the established names like BBS, HRE, Volk, Forgeline, CCW, etc. charge more than double that. Yeah yeah yeah there's markup, advertising overhead, etc., but I don't get how it could be over 100%.
If you can truly get a fully forged wheel and a good warranty + company that stands behind the product for $2k, then absolutely get those Titan-7s over the Apex wheels.

I love my Apex. Have 2 sets that were inexpensive and have been durable. But I would not buy at the price the OP listed.

I am running the TS5's on my M3 and couldnt be happier. In fact mine is the black one in the first picture you posted. For a track setup I would skip the 19's and go with 18's. I have the staggered setup in 18's. Been through a few track days and a few sets of tires and they are holding up quite well.

18" TS-5 are an unbelievable bargain, relatively speaking. There is zero reason why anyone should be looking at Apex wheels for $100 less, lmao.

I still would struggle to buy relatively heavy cast wheels for slightly less than forged, just being more accurate on pricing. |

If you want the EC's, there are plenty of used sets that go around for a decent price, I'd search the classifieds... I know I've seen a few recently. There was even a new set that a vendor used for a photoshoot.
IMO, I'd go with TS5s for reasons other's have mentioned above. Additionally, I love the design as it is closest for the BBS FIRs but obviously much more affordable! Apex is a great company with a decent product from what I've seen on the forums, I run Apex PS-7s (no longer produced) which I like as well but if the TS-5s had been around when I was in the market, I woulda picked those up!

18x9.5 = 18.5 lbs 18x10.5 = 18.9 lbs Apex ec7 18s - cost, 1600 from a vendor here, no real deals to be had new 18x9.5 = 21.75 lbs 18x10.5 = 22.5 Price differential = 300 dollars, or about 15%. Weight differential = 3.25 / 3.5 lbs or also about 15%. Definitely not 50% more and 10% less weight. |

Forged wheels are stronger (on top of being lighter). A more fair comparison is the Apex forged wheel that is coming out soon. My guess is that the Titans will still be the better value.

Apex ARC8 18x9.5 weighs 19.2 and costs $314 while the 10.5 weighs 20.45 lbs and costs $344 or $1,316 for the set. Titan7 T-5S 18x9.5 weighs 18.3 and the 10.5 weighs 18.8 lbs, and the set costs $2000. The Titan7 are just over 50% more money and save just under 10% weight. The TS-5 is lighter, has a more unique look, and forged is stronger so some people would pay more. However, the Apex are great wheels and you could have a set plus a pulley or some intakes or exhausts for the same price. |
