cat delete

I plan on doing a cat delete on my OEM x pipe... Is it better to take out Primary Cats or Secondary cats for sound and performance?

thanks in advance

Deleting primaries will give you more power and sound.

Removing the secondary cats will give you maybe a couple of hp. It's mostly for sound.

in comparison to deleting the primaries deleting the secondaries will do very little maybe 5hp? and will also make your car smelly lol (Exhaust fumes). My advice is to get a pair of test pipes and call it a day.

P.S. deleting the primaries will cause your car to throw a check engine light and the only way to remove this is either get a tune or get an akra delete r.

I am Stage 1 BPM tuned at the moment. The previous owner of my car already had it when i purchased the vehicle. Any recommendations on where to go around Los Angeles area for a tune?

Just move to the BPM Stage 2 with test pipes instead of primaries. BPM is located in the LA area. Active Autowerke sells a high quality test pipe.

Hopefully you have the tuning cable from the previous owner, if not, we can work something out.

Definitely would go with the primary decat and would leave the rest stock, unless you go with an X-Pipe. Deleting the secondary cats makes it too raspy for me.

We do have a test pipe and Stage II upgrade package on our site.

Let us know when you're ready to proceed and you can load the new software with your laptop. Will take about 10 minutes from start to finish with a PC.
