Anyone know where or if it's even possible to find 2 of the previous gen Cup2 tires? I need 265/35/18. I have one bad tire and I don't like the idea of mixing the new Cup2 connect with the older one. Mine have like 70% tread left so I hate to just toss old tires and I'm not buying all 4 new ones just to match.

Got 4 x 255/35/19 for the front for total of $598. or $150/tire including tax.

Should work with the Proxa RR 295/30/19 on the rear.

I did 1:56.269 in my E46 at Buttonwillow CW13 on a set of 275/35-18s.

What engine oil temps are the safe upper limit for our cars? I'm on Castrol 10W-60 and seeing 125C (260F) temps fairly quickly on track. I tend to back off at 130C (266F) but that means I don't get many laps in before I need to do a cool down.

I sustain >275 for most of a 30 min session, and will let the limp mode dictate if it's too hot. I'll run a cool down lap(s) mid session for tires mainly but obviously helps oil too. Never been worried about it.

Run 10W60 generally but trying out the BW recommended 15w50. Change my oil every 6 track days (18 hrs of track time). All the coolers are upgraded except trans.

OK that's good to know. I'll let the temps go higher and let limp mode dictate when I need to back off. Thanks for that.

275 is fine. I wouldn't be getting nervous until you're nudging 300 for sustained periods. TWS or BMW-branded 10w60 oils are quite stout.
