I'm looking at upgrading my diff bushings and later down the road subframe bushings. I'm looking for some input from 6mt guys who have put solid/delrin bushings in and use their car primarily as a DD. I know they add some NVH, but it seems 6mt cars suffer less.

this is the first i've heard of the 6mt guys having less differential whine. i think it reverberates up through the subframe into the chassis rather than the driveline.

I was reading a thread earlier and some guys were saying from what they had heard it was a larger increase on DCT cars

I have solid derlin rear diff mounts, have for a few years after I snapped my read diff bolt and the diff fell on top of my exhaust on the hwy.
Is a noticable whine, changes at RPM and can still be heard over a loud exhaust/blower/headers.
With window down it fades into the background pretty good, windows up and its obvious but not bad at speeds of 70mph +. Point is you will hear it, people will ask what it is etc.
If had to do over again id go with a polly type mount since its my Daily driver. Its a fairly high pitch whine, if was lower wouldn't be an issue.

i wonder if people think it is louder with a DCT because it might sound similar to the DCT whine... in a 6mt, people might not notice diff whine, but sometimes people ask if my car is supercharged because they notice the DCT whine. maybe people notice the whine on the DCT and don't quite know exactly what they are hearing?

Thank you, that's what I was looking for. I'll get some poly ones.

So what the best option for daily driver?
Solid Subframe and something like the softer powerflex diff bushes?
