Too many talkers on the forums. The car is a great example and with it being a 9yo car it's nice to know it met EAG's standards.
Agree. It's exactly why I probably wouldn't list my M3 here, and it's a 2011.75 E90 ZCP MT with BE rod bearings and ARP bolts done with just under 16k miles! I'm looking at Porsche 997 Turbos and debating selling. Unfortunately, there are too many people speculating, virtually tire kicking, and nit-picking

GLWS to the OP!

You can always get the newest turbo'd m3. Find me a sedan with a NA high revving V8, stick shift, and nimble handling. It's the end of that era. Not to mention the E90 M3 has timeless looks and the engine note is unparalleled to anything else in its class.

OP overpaid by buying from EAG and now trying to recoup some of the money. Realistically this car is worth mid 30s with mods. People can try to justify...its 1 out of 180 but most of the people don't care about that..when typical buyers are only interested in Year, mileage, service history and price.I hope OP sells the car but don't be surprised at the responses from public forum

I think his best bet is to put it on BringATrailer if he's asking over the real market value, as people pay boookoo money there
Are you implying that EAG vaginal rejuvenation is overpriced? Sarcasm aside I call for bmw enthusiast to boycott EAG. Oh and OP GLWS!

If I ever sell my car it won't be here. Mine is a 29k 2011.75 e90 ZCP Slick top, cloth, no nav, 6mt, manual seats car.

I can't stand even selling parts here. I always underprice and people STILL ask for free shipping, 20% off, all sorts of stuff.

OP: Contact BAT and list the car with them. It will get an assload of exposure. Also if you are on instagram contact @fish2556 he collects white cars.... look at his page

Can someone explain to me why anyone wants speedcloth over leather if they don't track regularly? I've always wondered this... seems like a huge downgrade to me.

Because of how low the take-rate was on that option. It's very rare

I would. I hate dealing with leather, especially in the summertime when I find it exceedingly uncomfortable, sticky, holds heat from sun soaked car like crazy, etc. My daughter has a ZHP with the cloth/Alcantara seats, and those are fantastic. Unfortunately, "in America", leather became the defacto requirement for BMW starting in the early 1980s.

I think some people just like the uniqueness of it. I'd much rather have extended leather to make the whole thing feel like a proper luxury car rather than manual seats and the appeal that "it saved 5lbs".

honestly its bragging rights, and the rarity that does it, just like manual seats. Weird concept but its been happening from the E36's and up

Totally agree with this. This site has become Craigslist when it comes to low-ballers. Few people are willing to pay what something is worth.

As low mileage, extremely well-cared for examples appreciate in price (as especially E90 examples have been now for a couple of years), it's a natural reaction. I owned my E39 M5 for 15 years and have been a member of the M5board since 2002; once the E39 M5 bottomed in price (roughly 2010-2012 for high quality low mileage examples), the same thing occurred where so many were quick to criticize/say how crazy someone's asking price is/etc.

You need that behavior/feeling to be widespread at early stages of appreciation in order to have something appreciate strongly (else everyone would "know" to buy already). Especially when upside step change discontinuities in value occur where the natural reaction is to say "that's insane", "that person is an idiot" etc. This is in the early stages of the appreciation curve.

Once you reach full-on frenzy as the M5 market was showing signs of back in 2018 (early 911 market in 2013), it's a whole different scenario. At some point, it becomes a bigger fool theory market which is the perfect time to liquidate into it which I did on BaT back then with a nice result. I did have discussions with two people who were very serious but were way undervaluing the car (guess one might say low ballers). The 2nd one was actually a bit terse when after his final offer stated that there was no way my car wasn't worth anything more than that ($28k). I said thanks for your time; listed on Bat the following week and sold for $34,000/$35,700. Clearly an interested party was willing to pay $35,700 plus about $2k in enclosed shipping for the car, so it was just a matter of matching the seller with the buyer.

In my case, my buyer needed to get down to 2 cars a year later and resold on BaT last summer for an even higher price by a bit. He contacted me about selling it, and I told him to list it again on BaT, no question. He was very glad he did. My car ended up in the hands of an automotive industry veteran who contacted me a number of times after winning that second auction. I'm glad it's in strong hands and being well-cared for.

Not to be a jerk but just get good tint.

I live in Atlanta with black leather in every car. My butt has no burns on it.

No thanks on tint...gave that up in the early 1980s. I know it's subjective, but I much prefer the factory window minor tint. Leather traps heat and moisture, and unless it's ventilated, is uncomfortable in hot weather. Cloth seats, high quality cloth/alcantara like the ZHP came with stock (at least in 2003 model year) is very comfortable by contrast to leather. It's purely personal preference, but it's nice that in the M3 the past couple of generations, BMW gave you a choice.

I blame Ricardo Montalbán for the USA market fascination with leather.

I guess we will just have to agree to disagree on leather comfort in hot climates. I find it peachy down here in Atlanta even with the windows down in August.

Try selling anything private party and chancers will always try their luck, not worth it to me.. I'd consign it or send to auction

Thank you for all the kind words to the forum members here who can truly appreciate this car for what it’s worth and it’s rarity.

In life you will always have people that love to bash and talk bad about certain builds and cars and it’s a shame that’s what this forum can turn into sometimes.

Decided to keep the car and change the build up a bit.

Looks amazing, more comfortable, doesn't wrinkle and generally more accepted in the socio-economic circles in which I associate myself. Although I do love my SO leather.
