EDC inop with "shock absorber" icon message

For no apparent reason after my M3 sat for few months in my garage for winter storage, my battery died (cell went bad) and I now find there is a EDC message. Is there a way to reset this? I want to see if it's just a nascence code or if it comes back, then I'll have to go down the trouble shooting tree on this one.

Check your EDC connectors, under the hood and in the trunk. A code reader may be able to narrow down which corner is having an issue.
