Man, I need a new battery - I think - for my E46. There is a 15% code for antigravity, but ... it's too heavy for me.

Shane the owner of Leddy is an awesome guy. Great service. I am assuming with Black Friday he may not have everything in stock and will be drop-shipping from D088 direct. When I ordered some stuff with him earlier this year it didn't take long, maybe 2-3 days to arrive at my doorstep as it was shipped international air mail.

This led me to order the Club 3 series from Stand21 due to pricing alone. If I'm getting a hybrid, I would get the one that works with 3pt and at $1000, I'm not ready to order that yet.

That's a great price. I picked up a HANS Sport 3 for 400 last year on a discount so it's awesome that cheaper version is available year round.

They had a good sale so it sounds like they might start shipping on Friday.

What's the Club 3 series?

I also wonder if the cheaper Hybrids are just not "certified" for 3 point but would work? It appears they're all the same basic principle in how they work? What makes the $1,100 one different? Probably should start a new thread for this.

Since I already have a quickfit pro coming, I figured I just try the stand21 Club series 3 head restraint device first. If I don't like it, I can always buy the Hybrid S in the future.

https://competitionmotorsport.com/st...-club-series-3 - alternative to the HANS branded option, almost $100 cheaper depending on seller.

Take a look at the info on the Hybrid S - https://competitionmotorsport.com/si...neck-restraint

I wouldn't want to be the crash test dummy for Simpson to figure out why the other devices doesn't work safely with 3 point belts.

Look on the Simpson website if you want to see the difference, it's quite obvious in the photos. The yoke (the big plastic piece on your back) and waist belt are completely different between the two versions. Also per the Simpson website, the Hybrid S is tested to FMVSS208 -- meaning it is tested to meet DOT requirements for restraints, just like a seat belt.

They both meet the same FIA requirements.

My guess: the bigger belt and plastic yoke provide the additional strength needed to hold your neck in place that a harness normally would. For all we know, the non-S version could make injuries worse with a 3-point belt. Not the kind of thing I would want to risk.

I just got my shipping info early this morning. Seems like they're using UPS Worldwide Expedited and label was created in Sweden so drop shipping confirmed. Estimated delivery to Atlanta is Dec 9.

Curious if anyone has considered this option for Arai helmets before?

LINK

Arai GP-5W SA2020 for $546 plus shipping from Japan, slow ship looks to be ~$50 and no tax. Pretty good deal I think, $810 shipped plus tax seems to be the best from a U.S. based company.

Still shopping for an amazing deal on an SA2015 but this option may win out for me.

Looks like a nice helmet. I splurged for the Stilo because of the built in comms and ease of add-ons/accessories. But if this one works for you it looks pretty nice. I would just double-check their accessories offered for it. I never realized how much I wanted to be able to swap out visors and cheek pads and things until I wanted to and couldn't with the helmet I had.

I have the GP-5W in SA2015 trim. What do you want to know? I bought it because it fits me best. Not quite as customizable as the Stilo but I don't really care about that for now.

My two cents: it is risky to buy it overseas, because if the fitment isn't right you'll pay a lot to return it (or may not be able to).

More just questioning buying from this particular supplier and excellent point on return options being limited!

I got the info as well.

Same product price for Leddy and do88.se but do88.se charges twice as much for shipping. Somehow that makes sense.

Will you be required to pay duties on this since its coming from Sweden?

Have bought do88 parts from both Leddy and direct and didn't have to pay anything additional on any of my 3 separate orders. Have their full kit on my car now btw, good selection!
