New battery - Still run a battery tender?
I had been running a battery tender with my old battery. Recently installed a new battery, and wondering if I should still run a tender based on current car usage:
Mon-Friday: minimal usage. An occasional quick in-city trip to pick up food, etc Weekends: good, long highway usage both days Thoughts? |

I throw mine on for maybe a few days per month when I know I haven't been driving it enough.
I don't think you need to have it on all the time. But throwing it on for a day or two to top up, couldn't hurt. My battery is over 8yrs old, I know I will need to replace it soon, but I'm just waiting for it to start showing signs since I am not really driving it much these days. So far it's been going well.
