Because AiM's RS3 Beta now links the SmartCam video to the data, you can point to the data and see exactly where you were on the track and if other cars are involved.
. Truly amazing capability if you are into data and if you have to deal with winter and NO trackdays until March 2021. . |

Surprised that took so long. Cosworth has had it for years. It is a good feature to bring more context to the data, I agree.

Use backup copies of your files. I have heard of problems with the RS3 beta corrupting data.

The last update fixed many small things and I was able to use it for a good hour with out crashing or messing up things Absolutely point it to a beta data directory and copy to the beta folders few sessions to work on. Don't point it to you RS2 data directory!! |

I have taken few virtual coaching sessions with Racers360 and I really liked the outcome. Because my SmartyCam video contains a lot of information, I feel that the virtual coach has a good insight into my driving.
I uploaded the sessions into my YouTube account but I am not making these sessions public. If any of you want to view a virtual session, and decide for yourself if it would be helpful to you, send me a private message with an email address and I can provide you access to the session for a limited time. (I asked Racers360 if I can do it and got permission) |

I was able to get 2 x MPSS 275/35/19 2020 like new for $424 or $212/tire from eBay.
This will now allow me to test 275 vs 295 on the rear with same MPSS tire I was happy with the 295 but could not get the temp high enough, so now I can test the 275 for my objective price. I suspect the 275, being narrow, will have a better chance to come up to temp. Front with the 275 will most likely be 265/35/19 Cup2 I have in inventory The spring in the back is going from 1000 to 1100. |

Those brake ducts look exactly like mine. Got it done at ACM?
Those are absolutely necessary at WGI if you plan to go there next year. Tom installed them for me and some other go fast parts in preparation for the 2021 season. See you at WGI

With SCDA? I should be there. Probably will be hot but we installed do88 dct cooler and do88 radiator. Oil cooler was upgraded a few years ago.
Just the bigger oil cooler didn't keep oil temp. down, just helped to cool down quicker.

Double sessions each day. Very little rest per hour. I was on full set of Do88 this year and no limp mode doing double sessions. Just the way I like it :-) |

Who is the maker of the brake duct backing plates? Are they specific for your brake kit?

If you're looking for some roll center correction/bump steer correction on those SPL parts the spacers are installed in the wrong place. They should go above the joint, not below.

a BBK.
Burkhart engineering CF brake backing plates. They are lighter than the bimmerworld ones, closer to the original dimensions, bolt on to the original mounting points and are the only ones that fit stock brakes or any BBK.

Thanks for the info, do you know if they are actually directing air into the rotor center or blowing on the rotor face? I went to their website and it’s hard to tell.

This is a great thread! I drive a semi-race prepped E46 (just under 3000 lbs). I have historically ran NT01 (275/19 square) or R888 (275/19 square) with great results. I recently changed to Michelin S8M (265/19 square) and have loved them. I don't have all the data you have been keeping but i know that the NT01's last forever and have great traction. The Michelin S8M are next level for me although they wear very fast. I am surprised at how quickly you go through tires so i guess the extra HP and LBS take a toll on them. Keep up the posts, i am learning a ton!
