Thankfully I was under warranty. Any chance a local scrapyard has an M3 in their lot? Seems like a straightforward removal process, that way all you'll have to do at the dealer is a re-coding of the amp (or so I was told).

e92 M3 enahnced premium sound package

This just happened to me a week ago, bass just dropped without ever coming back.
Decided to take out the front seats and inspect the speakers and BOTH wires on the speakers had burned off. Same exact wire on both speakers.
Resoldered the wires back into place and the bass is back on both speakers.

One of the basses must have been broken for a while because now the sound system hits pretty hard

Only downside is that I started the car without the passenger seat plugged in so no I have the passenger restraint malfunction warning

Exclamation M3 e92 enhanced sound (IA)

new to the thread here... i had problems with my oem subs (IA) that went bad becuase of the thin leads that tend to break apart (had two e92 with IA that had same problem)… so i went ahead with the bav sound underseat subwoofers and man did they sound great for about 3 weeks until i was driving today and all of a sudden no bass, everything else but the underseat subs work is there a fuse for this?….also my driver side comfort access door handle does not work and is hot to touch ( waiting on new part to arrive) not sure if this has something to do with it

I might have a similar problem with the sound system. Everything sounds light. What's the best way to check if it was the bass.. like just set the bass to max and see if it makes a difference?

So i have a real problem with my IA .... my stock ones blew out("bad leads") So I went ahead with Bavsound....They were great for three weeks and then they stop working..... I got a replacement from bav under warranty.... stopped working at the same time again after 2 weeks.... I got a refund for the subs then I went oem IA subs again from a friend and today the driver side sub stopped working(2weeks in)...I've noticed that only the original OEM subs tend to have the lead break off because it's weak(easy fix that will still fail been there done that leads held up but then the coil broke on me ) But when I inspect the Bavsound ones that stop working the leads are always intact..... I'm starting to think maybe it's an amp problem that causes the leads to break off by supplying too much power and people just think it's the manufacturing of the sub but really it's maybe moisture in the amp causing this (please correct me if I'm wrong )but for the bav sound ones the leads are always intact and subs still have movement but won't work maybe because the leads are strong and when it gets too much power it doesn't break off the leads like on the oem ones but rather mess up something else in return I've ran through 4 pairs of subs and still no definitive answer!

Put your hand underneath your seat you should feel the subs if they are working... if you have an e92 9/10 blown subs
