EDC - Stiff bad to use on regular roads?

Would using the "sport" setting of EDC be bad if using it for some spirited driving on normal roads (not the track)? Would normal mode be better overall for performance on roads that aren't completely smooth or would sport still be better due to the extra stiffness?

Concensus seems to be that stiff doesn't work anywhere. Normal (not comfort, I don't know why it defaults to comfort) is the best for spirited driving. Sport only seems to work with stiffer aftermarket springs.

It doesn't work or just isn't the best to use? On smooth roads sure does feel great.

We have pretty good roads around here if you stay off I-5. I use the Sport setting most of the time and love it. But then again I'm used to and like pretty stiff suspensions.

I was able to change the default EDC setting in iDrive.

Does changing EDC settings make much difference?
When I test drove an E90, pressing the M button didn't do anything...
I didn't feel any changes other than engine sound...
Yes all the settings were set for sportiest for M button on iDrive.

The biggest thing I notice is the throttle and steering weight when I press the M button. I actually kind of like the throttle at normal or just sport.

Throttle on normal is

Throttle on Sport is

Throttle on Sport Plus is

Get the picture? lol

Suspension on stiffest setting is the best on smooth roads especially when when doing some spirited driving around some nice curls. I know a lot prefer the normal setting for that to have some body roll but i feel like the normal would be best on track, but for roads in those conditions, sport is the best, IMO of course.

Comfort mode has the softest initial damping rates, but rates are dynamically adjusted. Normal has a higher initial damping rate, but rates may adjust dynamically to rates stiffer than Sport. Sport has a fixed damping rate higher than the initial Normal rate. Dramatically different like knocking 10 seconds off your lap time.... No.

Driving Exige made me to feel pretty much all cars comfortable i guess...
I will have to try it again to find out when my car arrives in next two weeks... hopefully.

Yeah, I-5 sucks. So does 99. Actually, most of the roads around here do!

I use stiff (2 lights on) for steep entrances where there's going to be very little clearance. The rest of the time I ride around in normal (1 light on).
