Anyone have success with oxygen sensor restrictors?

Be advised I'm aware of tunes to do this but i'd rather not spend a grand just do accomplish the same thing.

I took out the primary cats in my '12 e92 with great results but the check engine MEL triggered as soon as I started cruising on the freeway. I was anticipating this issue and purchased a set of JGR universal oxygen sensor spacer/restrictors and they didn't do the trick.

A buddy of mine used the vibrant performance variable oxygen sensor restrictor variants and they worked on his e90.

So my question is, is he lucky or have others had success with these spacers/restrictors to avoid the MEL?

In my experience its hit or miss. Just get a tune along with 10hp bump and if you go with reputable tuner, you will enjoy the solid bump in mid range torque

I am using spacers for almost a year,no check engine and all emissions monitors set.Regular O2 spacers don't work, need ones with built in catalyst.I got them from eBay https://www.ebay.com/itm/Cel-Elimina...QAAOSwdnZaC9pH

How much are we talking and can it be done remotely?

I live in southern Texas and it seems the best gas around that I found is 91 not sure why but there's no 93 here.

Wow, I would have never thought that they made these! Seems obvious though.

It's hit or miss. I would have guessed this method here would have the highest chance of working:
