MPE v1 vs v2

Hello,

Tried to search but can't seem to figure this out- what is the difference between both versions? Is there any physical difference between the two? How can you tell if the exhaust is v1 or v2?

Thanks!

I know v1 had problems with cracking. I believe v2 solved that problem

The difference between the MPE v1 and v2 are 2 holes .
The holes serve to avoid cracks , it reduces the internal pressure .
Here the v2 with the holes..

I know this is an old thread but thank you for this info!

Does anyone have any idea if the v1 be drilled in a similar location as the v2 to help with the cracking?

As the thread that was linked mentions the V2 has a small tube running between the two holes. Also not clear on if the internal routing of the pipes were altered between V1 & V 2. I have a repaired V1. So far it hasn't cracked after repair. It can be difficult to find a welder experienced in welding light gauge Inconel 625. Also would have to find source for the tube
