Increasing front to rear stagger with a stiffer rear end?
I am looking at further fine tuning car balance and have a much stiffer rear spring rste than the oem ratio of front to rear. Car has been great but always strivibg for more. With all else being equal in terms of having stock roll bars, would increasing the rear tire width while keeping the overall front to rear diameter and tire stretch equal, offer a superior setup in terms of balanced grio than traditional stagger?
Ie. Insteas of 265 front 285 rear, going to a 295 or 305 rear on the correct width wheels? Frobt spribg 600 and rear 500 coilover. Dampers ive played with but looking at the moment at tires. This is teally fine tuning otherwise ive tried softer rear spribgs and didnt like the result so wanted to try a different variable |

With stiffer rear springs you have less traction (more oversteer). A wider rear wheel and tire could help offset that. See chart below for additional options -

This is the kind of setup question that begs for a wing, if you like the balance with the stiff rear spring but want more rear grip, it's probably because the car gets evil in faster corners no? Or is it also not putting power down? Wider/bigger (tire diameter matters not just width, lots of options in the rear) are an easy button for making the car more stable at corner exit, obviously, but it's confusing that you like the balance with the stiff rear springs but want more grip too? What did you not like about going softer in the rear?

Its lower speed corners that id love a bit more traction however. Wing wouldnt assist but ive thought about it in addition to the bigger stagger. Think ill do both. Thank you both!

You might be surprised, what qualifies as "slow" on a road course is usually 55+ mph, plenty of air for a wing to matter some, and autocrossers can make aero work at parking lot speeds.
You should borrow a friend's trunklid with a wing on it and see if you like it

Huh? I have good quality coilovers and played around with different rear spring rates. I like the mildly stiffer rear but with a bit stiffer and am j7st fine tuning the last of the balance as i can
