Question regarding pull ahead program- mixed responses

My lease is up within the next 5 months and I got a letter from my bmw dealership that I am qualified for a pull ahead program.

I spoke to another dealer in the local area and was told that there was no pull ahead for the m3 at the moment. He did tell me that they did have the pull ahead last month and last month, another dealer told me that there was none.

Tired of the run around and want to know if anyone has any insight. I'v searched the forums but it seems that this program is month to month so the previous responses are outdated.

BMW NA told me that the pull ahead is at the dealers discretion.

Anyone have any idea?

Also, any m3 drivers considering getting into a 435i? Test drove one today and was quite impressed. Great, big, comfortable car but just doesn't have that rawness the m3 has (expected).

thank you

The dealer will offer to make your remaining lease payments in exchange for leasing or buying a new vehicle. I had a dealer "pull me ahead" once but it was only for 2 months and it was on a 500/mo payment.

I think the dealer discretion depends on the FMV of the car vs lease residual value. I have not leased an m3 but I have noticed several of the lease buyouts are less than the value of the cars.

thanks for the help guys.

I called bmw financial services and they didn't have a response for me and said the dealer needs to speak to them. I do know that there is a pull ahead until july 31st of this year in case this helps anyone. I'm looking to get into a 435i and i know my payments on that will be less than the m3.. maybe that's why they don't want to.

dealer said I should qualify based on the requirements(the bulletin said there isn't a exception on the m3's) but they are going to double check for me.

Torn between the 435i and s4 at the moment... should I be considering any other cars? Would love some feedback!

You should consider the cla45 amg, it's a really nice driving good looking car. I don't think I would ever be able to go back to a regular bimmer after having the ///M, it's not even in the same league.

just some food for thought....as of late e9x m3's have been selling at higher price points, depending on your residual, you might have an option to sell your car privately or say even to carmax and pocket a few stacks and still lease a 4 series...

was in a similar dilema last month with 60 days left on my lease....purchase my lease, lease something else, or just return...after much research and deliberation I decided on purchasing the car at lease end (no didn't grab my ankles as most tend to think/state happens when you purchase at lease end, just takes some time and effort around), couldn't be happier with my choice but obviously this is an individual decision.....and yes I took my car to carmax to see what they would give me and I would have made a few stacks, but that would have left me with having to get another car, fact of the matter is nothing else on the market right now interests me and/or fits my wants and needs...

good luck with your research...

not really a fan of it, too feminine for my taste. I just need a car for around town and some spirited driving.. the 435i fits that. who knows, if there is no pull ahead, i might not be able to hold myself back from getting an M. I know dealers would hardly budge on the price.

I've never paid more than invoice on any car I've owned and don't plan on starting now.

I'm wondering how the 4GC will compare to the CLA...the fastback look on the CLA seems to abrubt, it's alsmot lik they were going to make a cls but ran out of materials...the ratio of front to back length looks so off IMO...

Thank you for your input, i really appreciate it

I've gotten my car appraised and my buyout is $48,052. Car max was offering in 39-42 I believe. Nothing really fits what I want for a new car but I want a change even though ill be getting a car that is inferior to the m3. The only reason I like audis are because in the middle of your lease, your almost guaranteed to have some equity and trade it in at 22 months for a new one.

http://www.carmax.com/search?ANa=429...results%20page . they're selling similar m3s at my buyout price at the moment which means there is no way they'll offer anything close

wow, thats a high residual, i can see why that's not an option for you...

I honestly think you'll be having some sort of buyer's remorse or "cooling off" as the finance guys will refer to it when you are signing papers if you dump your M3 right now for something else...

if you had never recieved that pull ahead letter from the dealer would we even be discussing getting out of your car right now? don't get caught up in the marketing hype and new car idea...you are driving a car many aspire to have for themselves....

in any case, good luck with your research...as others have stated, the pull ahead parameters do vary, just need to put in some footwork...another good resource for info is the ask-a-dealer section on bimmerfest dot com....

im in the same position, lease will be over in July but theres just nothing on the market right now that I would want.

my plan so far will be to lease a x1 for the wife and drive a beater around till something comes out. looks like 2014 will be a dead car year.

looks like 2015 will be a good year.
any idea on what you're considering? i was even thinking about getting into an suv so i won't be down on the whole performance aspect. It's true, there aren't many cars that can compete with the m3 unless you step up to a p-car

First world problems... ahh

This is a BMW sponsored downshift + pass maneuver. BMW has targeted you as someone driving your M3 slowly and in the right lane. Do it!

when it gets a little closer, I am considering an x1, drives like a 3 series but has more space. Also much more discounted. If my wife likes the 2 series maybe that.

Otherwise I am stuck like you.
C63, M3/4, Lexus ISF are all waiting for the new model.
but 1st yr issues, and all the hype keep prices high for the first year.
so that looks like buying/leasing in 2015 Fall

Lease deals on audi are terrible

That leaves CTS-V, maybe a c7 sting ray.

If the 991 have the 2 year lease specials again for around 800-900 I will likely consider those.

No kidding, plus the CLA is a FWD car first from what I had read, even the AWD AMG version only sends "up to" 50% of the power to the rear if slip is detected. No thanks.

Update: Spoke to BMW and the pull ahead does not apply to the m3.
