Still your fault in my eyes. You are still responsible. And you still posted my dad's full name along with uncensored emails.

Interesting read. You dispute the transaction and still have the parts, and now the money. That is either theft or a scam, you have said it is all someone else's fault and the bs about stalking, but not once did you call the seller to see where the parts are, or what happened.

Real honest adult people call the seller and then the transport. If you did not get what you paid for the send the parts back and a refund, and keep looking. You have a ways to go yet.

This immature behavior is exactly why I went straight to paypal.
Parts bought, paid for, parts not delivered as described, paypal case opened.

This immature behavior was caused by you heading straight to paypal sir. It would be unlikely to happen if you discussed this like a mature person with the seller about where the "missing" parts could have gone.

Actually no, I protected myself. I know exactly what the conversation would have been and that is why paypal is involved.

But you never actually had a conversation with the seller and just made an assumption.....

Actually all communication goes thru paypal. Paypal is the third party payer and it is their policy to communicate thru them.
No assumptions made here, Open all the boxes and not all the parts purchased are there.

FYI- Forum members who post on a forum and make defamatory statements and threats of harm put themselves and the Forum/organization/owners at legal risk .

I'm just repeating what you said which is you knew exactly how the conversation would have been. To me this is an assumption.

Regardless, I had a recent issue with product I purchased from someone online. It was through Fleabay. The seller shipped the wrong toner sticks for my printer. I opened up a dispute with Fleabay. Fleabay notified the seller and we were then put in direct communication with each other. Fleabay said they wouldn't intervene unless some time has passed and I couldn't work out a resolution with the seller. After a few back and forth messages, the seller rectified the problem by sending me a return shipping label to send back the wrong items and they shipped me the items I originally purchased. All of this was done without getting nasty with the seller and getting PayPal involved. Yes. I did pay through PayPal. I could have filed a dispute with both Fleabay and PayPal. But I didn't.

BTW....I was definitely nervous about losing my money on items which I couldn't use as I had paid $500. But I decided to handle the situation in what I felt was the proper manner in allowing the seller to rectify the situation first.

But you did open a dispute. That is just what I did. Paypal notified the seller and no response.

Unfortunately you can't buy just 1 front brake pad or 2 rear pads, only full sets.
Front pads are $200, rear pads $150, rear caliper $325, caliper pins(2) $40.

I won't speak for the seller here as he knows the details. But it appears the seller tried to reach out to you direct and not do it through PayPal. To me, this shouldn't be an issue and based on the information he posted, you chose not to say anything to him.

As far as my situation, yes, I opened a dispute. The difference is my dispute action didn't cause the seller to have the money taken out of their account which would mean I had both the money and the incorrect product. This is what is happening in your situation. You have BOTH the product(s) AND the money.

In a pawn shop somewhere there's a postal worker trying to get $20 for three pads and a caliper, lol.

You had to have realized that if you didn't get all of your parts that your best chance was to contact the OP directly? If you open a dispute with paypal first then you're going to escalate the situation and the likelihood of getting your parts in any kind of good will goes to zero.

This is the most retarded thread. What the actual fuck would OP do with 1 caliper and a few pads? Instead of taking 100% of the money back just give him the cash for everything your received at least while you guys work this out as a sign of good faith.

A real man would have just called the seller, said what he received was not what he expected to receive. The OP would have refunded the money once the buyer sent back all the boxes. And we'd all shake hands and move on with our day.

But no, I guess the world doesn't turn that way anymore. And this is exactly why I only sell items face to face.

So if I return all the parts that I received and it is missing 1 rear caliper, 1 front pad and 2 rear pads, the seller doesn't refund me the money because he didn't receive 'all' the parts. He is then in the same shoes I am in now, not having 'all' the parts. That is why that will not work.

The onus is on you to explain why the packages were shipped to you with the proper weights for the complete parts, which the OP posted proof of, and then they magically vanished.

There are only two possibilities:

1. the OP is lying about the weight of the calipers. You can prove this by posting a picture of all of the items you received on a scale. We know he is not lying about the weights of the packages he shipped due to the receipts, but maybe he lied about the weight of the actual calipers/rotors themselves. This will be easy for you to prove, if you are telling the truth.

2. You have already stated that the holes in the box were too small for a caliper to fall out, so the ONLY possibility if the weights match the OP's description is that they vanished while in your possession. That is on you, not the OP.

This is why I don't trade parts on forums, and just buy them in person, from an online vendor, or used from a guy in my local area. This is a headache I'm glad I can enjoy from the outside looking in.

If this issue arises from PayPal, now I don't even trust buying parts from 1addicts or the net now.
