Gaps between body and rear bumper
Hello everyone, I noticed, not too long ago, some large gaps between the the end of the rear bumper (where it wraps around) and the body; it look as if the bumper is slightly wider than the body and its not 100% flush. I went to have this looked at by both a BMW performance shop (whom I have trusted and will continue to trust) and a very reputable BMW body shop. The performance shop adjusted the bumper because they noticed a slight unevenness and the Body shop (whom I took it too afterward) said that the gaps are fairly common among e92 M3s and are normal (they did however make sure that all clips and screws were secure). I know I shouldn't be overly paranoid about this, but could you guys let me know if these significant gaps are common? If so, is to protect against impacts?
Thanks everyone |

I've got a pretty decent sized gap between my hood and front bumper, to the point where my fiancée asked if the hood was all the way closed! The car has a clean history with no incidents, but it is a bit of a bummer.

Same here, and mine was brand new from Munich that way. From what I'm reading on here I need to remove the bumper cover, and raise the carrier slightly. I've also noticed larger gaps on the bottom of the doors too, between the sill and the door itself. You'd think it would be a little tighter coming from the Germans... I'd let the dealer sort it out but I'm afraid they'll screw it up
