Those settings will pierce the ears and sound very lopsided.

Considering the setup is very midrange-heavy from the factory, this might should actually smooth it out quite a bit.

I'll text you this weekend to setup a good time for you next week to get this done.

Things have finally eased up a bit.

If nobody else gets any next week I'll post what I think is a good EQ setting for the E90 EPS with the stock system and then maybe with Jehnerts under the seats.

Ideal EQ settings for a stereo system vary based on a number of factors, including music source recording quality, equipment properties/limitations, and personal preference. Two identical systems playing the same test tones might require different EQ settings to achieve the same flat response when compared on a real-time-analyzer. Furthermore, a flat test response might not be the ideal setting for the musical recordings being played. There is a great deal of variance in the mastering quality of recordings these days, and that's before we factor in personal preference.

My only real point is that the EQ settings that work for one person might not be the same for everyone. Experiment on your own to see if you find a setup you like.

Still waiting on someone local to PM me to bring me their E90. Nobody has contacted me yet.

Any volunteers?

I guess what we need is someone to use an RTA to give us a flat curve eq
And from there we can change to our liking or type of music we listen to
But ideally you want to start with a flat curve
So what eq settings give us the flatest curve?

Fixed.

The OEM amp will adjust that flat EQ curve the moment you start driving (speed dependent EQ and bass boost).

This cannot be disabled, only somewhat minimized.

For those who want to try something different and do not find the listed settings here to their liking, here is what I have done after many many adjustments. I noticed mostly that the settings posted here sounded good for rap, pop etc but sounded muffled and crappy for any kind of rock.

100 Hz: -4
200 Hz: -4
500 Hz: -4
1k Hz: -1
2k Hz: +8
5k Hz: +8
10k Hz: +8

Bass: +4
Treble: +1
fade-0

Surround-ON

I find this makes music at lower volumes sound nice and crisp instead of only at high volumes which I found the other settings to provide.

I also put my iphone Eq on "loud" in the settings as it sounds better than flat.
